I was born in 80, & started writin everyday in '93. '94, me & 2 homies started Trilogy, where we wrote our own material but often had 2 use instrumentals of established artists due to a lack of producers. We was doin backyard shows & rentin out party houses, buyin alcohol @ 14, 15 years old; promotin our own shows, leadin the local pack, along w/other local artists as Maad Ruckus & Devotion, our rivals. By '97, the Tril had expanded w/our Trilogy Knight Order, or TKO, & had expanded our shows 2 include live sets w/live musicians recreating beats of the time & us adding our own lyrics. 2nd Theory was born as a group when me as the mc & 2 guitars, bass & drums performed, practiced & recorded. 18 & in a “real” studio, as Trilogy recorded after school & sometimes during classes we cut @ our school A/V room. Heading 2 OU in Athens in fall 98 w/2nd Theory’s blend of now original rock songs w/original lyrics, Underdawg was formed. Hard rock w/real rap, we were rap rock b4 it was a marketable genre. When I got to Athens, Oh for college, I got w/producers down there. Philo-fu was my first collegiate group, producing Orientation during my freshman year. The next 2 years, me & my homie from Underdawg did our thing as the Righteous Beings, w/more of a new age musical sound. Philo was sample heavy, RB was tec. Performing still in Athens & Columbus, I was a part of the Subterranian Organization, underground rap compilation with mc’s from c-o, the land, the nati, y-town, & d-town. Getting back w/live musicians, after RB I was part of the Max Power Trio, & since 4 folks ain’t no trio, when I was w/em, we was Collyde, still performing w/groups Samson & Indostructure in Athens, tryin 2 get my name out there. Still freestylin @ parties w/dj’s, gettin it in, by '02 started my own band, 4 States Away, rock & rap 2gether still but less heavy, more poppy ( intentionally radio friendly). In 03 I was back in the C-O, but by '05, that was just another past musical experience & I was back 2 writin rap w/beats, but I still prefer live music 2 pre-recorded, as it gives the show an entirely different vibe. But I spent '05 writing vol. 1 & much of vol. 2.5, releasing vol. I in summer 06. No sleep for the seeking, I didn’t promote or perform vol. I……I wrote & recorded vol. II, & after setbacks from breakups 2 breakins 2 moving 3 times 2 havin 1 record label wantin me 2 change the name from Stoneface 2 somethin softer, vol.2 is in the latter stages of production & is set 4 a 2008 release. From '93-'08, the 15 year career is still going, still strong, still improving, still impressing. From gangsta shit, 2 rap/rock (hip-rock), 2 techno, whatever, I love music & will be an MC until I die. Ironically, me nor the artists I’ve collabo’d w/have the artwork of any of my previous projects but the memories exist, not just 2 us, the artists, but 2 our friends, family & fans who graciously supported us during our upstarting career. I got a copy of my resume on here, & those of u fortunate enough 2 have experienced some of these performances may remember a show title, a venue, a group name, my pic, 1 of my many previously used stage names, album name, etc. Most of you not from the mid-west prolly wont, but it don’t matter. My history ain’t n my past, it will b made n the future……..Historical Records, nig! Get u some!
